In January 2005 a School Council was democratically elected at
Żejtun Primary School. This was the first time in the history of the
school that an election was being held. The result provided a result
which very democratically represented the school since it was
composed of 3 parents, one of them male, 2 teachers and a
supply learning support assistant. This is an important composition to have because it
represents the opinion of a variety of people.

Members
The School Council forms the backbone of the school. It operates in a very subtle but effective manner. Meetings are held regularly every month. During these meetings members are kept informed of all developments and projects for the future are discussed. The main objectives of the school council are:
