Contributors
If you have created a
website that you think can be included as a ThemePack in our portal, you
can inform us about it. Contributions are welcome from:
-
Individual teachers,
educators, B.Ed. or PGCE students;
-
State, Church and
Independent Primary Schools in Malta and Gozo;
-
Any Section in the
Education Division;
-
Any other educational
institution in Malta and Gozo.
Content
In order to be accepted,
ThemePacks must target one or more of these items:
-
A particular topic in
the Primary Syllabus;
-
A particular skill
covered by the Primary Curriculum;
-
A theme that can easily
be adapted across the Primary Curriculum.
Terms
and Conditions
-
ThemePacks should have some
form of classroom resources and teacher's notes to complement the content.
-
The ICT Learning Centre
(Department of
Technology in Education) reserves the right to refuse any contribution
that is not deemed up to standard or that may not have a relevant
educational value.
-
The ICT Learning Centre limits itself to simply creating a link to the
ThemePack contributed. Regular maintenance of the site is the
responsibility of the contributor.

The contributor must
take the responsibility of regularly checking that the content of the
ThemePack site is fresh, up-to-date and educationally correct.
-
The contributor must
provide an e-mail address in the ThemePack website. The ICT Learning
Centre cannot enter into any correspondence with
visitors of contributed ThemePacks.
-
If the ThemePack
includes online activities where children's contributions are
required, the contributor must ensure that any data collected from
children and published on the site must comply with the Data
Protection Act or the Centre's Acceptable Use Policy.

The site submitted will
be vetted by our team. If it is found to be of acceptable
presentational and educational quality and complies with the relevant
national laws, a banner will be created and
added to the PrimaryThemes home page, linked to the submitted URL.

In case a submission is
not accepted, the contributor will be informed by the Centre. The
Centre also reserves the right to suggest ways the ThemePack content
may be adjusted to comply with the terms and conditions stated above.

The Centre has the right
to withdraw (remove the link from its portal), at any time, any
ThemePack which subsequently fails to comply to any one or more of the
above conditions.
Submission
Details
To submit your contribution
simply send us an e-mail at primarythemes@gov.mt
with the following details:
-
The name of the
ThemePack.
-
A short description
of the ThemePack: what it is about, the age/s it is aimed at, what
parts of the curriculum does it target, etc (not more than 50 words).
-
Name and surname of
the person/s who created the project.
-
The School, section
or entity represented by the project creator/s.
-
Name and surname of
the webmaster, the person/s in charge of uploading and maintaining
the site.
-
The webmaster's
e-mail address. We require this in case we need to contact the
webmaster. The school's or entity's generic e-mail address
is also acceptable.
-
The ThemePack's URL,
or web address. We need this in order to access the site for
evaluation and to create the link on our ThemePack portal. Please make
sure to type this correctly.
-
The ThemePack's
e-mail address, which may not necessarily be the same as that of
the webmaster. This should be the e-mail
address you intend to include in the site for feedback from users.
Your submission e-mail must
contain all the above information, otherwise the submission will
not be considered.
Shortly after your
submission is received, you will receive an acknowledgement from us.
