Three members
elected by and from among the parents of
students.
The school council meets at least
once a month and keeps the minutes of its meetings which
are prepared and signed by the secretary. It administers
the funds and all the assets of the school. At the end
of the scholastic year it submits to the Minister a
report on the administration and financial management of
the school. Its main aim is to form a link between home
and school.
Elections to form the school council
are held in January every two years, in accordance with
the regulations set down by the Education Act. The
school council does not concern itself with the teaching
and the maintenance of discipline in the school. These
areas remain the responsibility of the head, assistant
heads and the teaching staff.
