Lorenzo Gafà Boys  Secondary School.   It is situated just outside the walls of Vittoriosa and close to the Kalkara gate, in the area known as Il-Fortini. Originally built as a primary school in the fifties it was turned into a trade school for girls in the seventies.

In 1992 it became a secondary school for boys and two years later the school was renamed Lorenzo Gafa`, a famous seventeenth century baroque architect who hails from Vittoriosa. As the school population grew and with it the need for a healthier educational environment the school embarked on a restructuring and refurbishment project which was completed in 2002 under the direction and inspiration of  Mr. Horace Caruana and Mr.Philip Bonello , administrators  of the school. The school was officially inaugurated on 11 June 2002.

It is a small school with a population of about 250 boys between the ages of 11 and 16.
