30th October 2009 - our first educational visit of this scholastic year took us to Fort Manoel. Once the main structural restoration works were completed this eighteenth-century fort was opened up for students. Fort Manoel was built by the Knights of St. John, under the patronage of Portuguese Grandmaster Manoel de Vilhena. It was built on Manoel Island with the intention of securing Valletta from the Marsamxett side. Read more >

Science Project Our Science Project involved investigating physical aspects of water. Topics such as, density, floating, forces, pressure and heat were dealt with.
Students were given research questions which they had to investigate. Read more >
Cooking Club - is part of the extra curricular activities. During this club, students are being thought how to prepare different types of food that do not require much preparation time. Read more >
28th September 2009 - Another scholastic year starts. Welcome Back to School. We would like to congratulate those who left this school to further their studies, work or whatever they are doing in life and a special welcome goes to the new Form 1 students. Happy Scholastic Year.

5th May 2009 - the biology teacher, Ms T. Kenely, with the collaboration of teachers from De La Salle College organized a boat trip to observe tuna being reared in cages owned by Azzopardi Fisheries. Read more >
6th April 2009 - Class 3.1, 3.3 and form 3 Biology option students went on a field trip to Chadwick lakes accompanied by Ms A. Tonna, Ms T. Kenely, Ms A. Grima and Ms M.P. Attard. Read more >
Maria Regina College, Mosta Girls’ Secondary is the coordinating country for a new 2- year Comenius project entitled “Bridging the Seas. The School is working closely with other schools from Germany, Czech Republic, Portugal and Poland. Read more >
7th April 2009 - Sports day - “Enjoy Sports Drug Free”. The day started with a special assembly organized by the Health and Safety Department. Later on, during the day, members from the Police Dog Section gave a one hour demonstration. During the show, one could feel the close relationship there was between the dogs and their trainers. Scholastic year is nearly over and unfortunately the society does not make it easy for both teenagers and school leavers. Pier pressure attributes a lot in the formation of characters, especially at your age. Read more >
4th March 2009 - the Biology Form 4 students went on a site visit to Ghammieri Government Farm. Dr Charles Grech acted as guide on this visit. These form 4 students had the opportunity to study and observe farm animals such as: cows, sheep, pigs and chickens. Read more >
‘Bridging the Seas’ is a two year (2008-2010) Comenius project coordinated by our school. ‘Hebbelshule Gymnasium’ Secondary school in Kiel, Germany and ‘Gymnazium a Stredni’ Secondary and Business school in Sedlčany, Czech Republic are our partner schools. Read more >
6th March 2009 - As part of a campaign to raise awareness on the importance of safety at the place of work, the health & safety teachers at Maria Regina College G.S.S. Mosta organized a visit to Consolidated Biscuits. Read more >
X-LAB TV Series - The first episode of the science education series X-Lab is going to be aired on E22 on Tue 6 Jan at 18:00 and PBS on Sat 10 Jan at 10:00 and there are the ex-form 3 girls from Lily of the Valley in it. Read more >
Seasons Greetings
14th October 2008 - A turtle release activity was organised by Nature Trust, Bifrec, and Birdlife at Gnejna Bay. Nine turtles were trapped by mistake and then rescued by fishermen who took them at the Aquaculture centre at San Lucjan Tower, Marsaxlokk. Read more >
