Annibale Preca Primary School is
currently at the half way stage of the current School Development
Plan which covers the period October 2006 – June 2008. This School
Development Plan was drawn up following extensive discussions
involving all members of staff as well as other stakeholders
including parents as well as students. The implementation of the SDP was discussed and the progress registered was reviewed during
half day seminars held during the first and second term. An
extensive audit exercise was conducted at the end of May and the
beginning of June. The broad view of the seven key areas was
audited during a one day seminar held on 6th June 2006.

The Curriculum and Learning and Teaching was also held on
the same day. The audit of the development targets being tackled in
the current School Development Plan was incorporated within the
close view audit since these targets all fall within the 4
key areas mentioned above. Very satisfactory progress was
registered in the majority of the targets. The current School Development Plan has a number of
targets which are at present being tackled. Some of these
targets will be concluded during scholastic year 2006-2007.
Others will be carried over to next year.
Strengths and weaknesses were also
identified and discussed. During the seminar emphasis was placed on
the close link between the SDP and the PMP as well as the importance
of everyone involving himself fully in the achievement of the set
targets in the School Development Plan.
