The running of St Benedict Primary School, Kirkop is built on respect, trust, co-operation, participation, consultation, collaboration and teamwork.

    Head of School and teaching staff work endlessly to enhance those values that help mould our future generations.

    Our dedicated members of staff place great emphasis on the holistic approach. Their entire efforts are channelled to meet the requirements that our pupils need to develop characteristics of good, reliable citizens.

    All this is made possible also due to our excellent environment that is undoubtedly conducive to the teaching-learning process. As if this is not enough, our school building will undergo further upgrading, particularly the school hall and the sports facilities.

    Measures are already underway to take the necessary steps to implement the new National Minimum Curriculum. Targets feature regularly during our annual school development exercises and are aimed to improve our efficient and effective school.

    At St Benedict’s motivation is a common denominator. Head, teachers and School Council are encouraged to strive hard to achieve new goals.

    Empowerment in fact reflects itself in a very active and lively School Council. Activities are frequent and have their regular slot in a rather tight timetable. Parents’ participation is always in acceptable numbers, especially when Head of School calls them for consultation at school.

    We are pleased to state that St Benedict Primary School, Kirkop, notwithstanding its limited pupil population, can be easily seen as a model state school of which the Education Division is certainly proud of.
