In ICT lessons, we learn basic stuff such as
how to operate a computer system. We make some small projects
by using some common applications like a word processor, spreadsheet,
presentation program, database and an internet browser. With
these application programs, we become computer literate. Other issues concerning computer systems are dealt with, such as Viruses,
ergonomics and health risks that we are prone to whilst using
a computer system.
The basic thing which one should do, to become computer literate
is to gain as much experience as possible. This is done in in
the computer laboratory through practical activities and also
through the internet club where students are given the possibility
to use the computer labs and navigate the internet during the
mid-day breaks.
