The Professional Development Meetings catalogue of sessions
offered by the DTiE has just been updated again. There are now
twelve different sessions available for presentation during

Request for ICT equipment
Heads who would like to request the replacement or provision of ICT equipment for their school
are reminded refer to the procedure as outlined in Memo Prim0411.
An email in this regard
has been sent to schools.
Important: Do not re-send requests for equipment applied for
last scholastic year. This equipment has already been registered
in our database. |

ICT Support Initiatives website
This scholastic year will be the Pilot Year for the
launching of the various Support Initiatives. A dedicated
website has been set up including details on each Initiative,
contact information, schedules, updates, documentation for
downloading and a frequently asked questions section. Click

| School Website Webmaster
Those Primary Schools that have applied for an ICT Support Initiative next scholastic year are requested to appoint a member of staff as the school's website webmaster. In the period of the Support Initiatives, ICT Peripatetic Teachers will be able to coach the webmaster in the creation, uploading and maintenance of the site.

regularly, especially the Primary Section.
In the Teacher's section you can
contribute in on-going discussions with colleagues about
various subjects. They can also start off their own. Topics
are not necessarily ICT-related.
Teachers can use the Learners'
section to start up discussions online with pupils, who will
be able to follow the forum even from home.
You are urged to encourage your
teaching staff to subscribe to the forum (free of charge)

Upgrading of Office PCs
When planning to upgrade any office PCs please consider that current Windows Operating Systems like Windows XP may be incompatible with some of the SIS applications (ex. Admin). Before making any upgrades contact SIS on 2122 4290 / 2122 4364 or email sis.moed@gov.mt for advice.
