Kalkara is a quiet village. Its population isn’t
one of the big ones, but before Kalkara’s population was much bigger
than it is now. Kalkara is situated by the harbour and all of the residents
are proud of this. In the heart of Kalkara you can go and see the original
and nice church. It is dedicated to St. Joseph and mostly on Sundays the
mass will be very interesting by the parish priest Fr. Salvu Micallef.
In Kalkara there is Fort Ricasoli which is very interesting and lots of
tourists go and admire the original things of this fortification. |

by the sea. In Kalkara there are five cemeteries. These are: WIED GHAMMIEQ,
TAL LHUD, TAL INGLIZI,TAL KATTOLICI INGLIZIU TAL GERMANIZI. At Kalkara
there are three churches: TAL KAPUCCINI SANTA LIBERATA, SALVATUR, U IL
PAROCCA SAN GUZEPP. At Kalkara there are two historical places, FORT RINELLA
AND FORT RICASOLI.The name of Kalkara came from` GIR ISMI. |

| You can find Kalkara in the south of Malta near three cities. Kalkara is surrounded by the sea. We have a small beach that is called Rinella beach, also you can find Fort Rinella and Fort Rikasoli, where many tourists come to visit all the year. The patron Saint of Kalkara is Saint Joseph. This feast is celebrated on the second Sunday of July. In Kalkara you can also find the convent of the Cappuchin’s. | |||||
