Learning about prepositions, through the use of the story of The Three Little Pigs (Reading Development Library software)

(The On-screen activities and Handouts are the result of an In-Service Course, organised for Year 3 teachers.  We worked together and used the Reading Development Library software stories to produce various PowerPoint, on-screen activities, handouts, flashcards and charts to utilise during our English lessons.  Our collective work could thus be shared and used by all of us Year 3 teachers.) 
 

On the 5th of November the children were invited to the Home Economics Seminar Centre at Birkirkara for a Healthy Breakfast. There the children learnt about foods which are healthy and those which are not. They discovered how to make good choices in order to be healthy.
Such choices include a healthy diet which is low in fats and sugars as well as exercise, good sleeping habits and personal hygiene.  The children found out that it is important to drink three glasses of milk daily and eat five different coloured fruit and vegetables.  The pupils were involved in activities and games throughout the whole experience.  This made made learning fun and exciting.
The pupils also enjoyed a healthy breakfast, where they ate a bowl of cereal with milk and a yoghurt.
