CAREER ORIENTATION VISITS Career Guidance forms an essential part of the guidance programme of all secondary schools. As part of their preparation for the future when they leave school, students need help in understanding the range of opportunities offered by further and higher education and places of work. They also need assistance in deciding whether such opportunities are relevant to their needs, and in making an informed choice of the appropriate course or job to be followed. While each school has its own career guidance programme to cater for the specific needs of its students, a programme of Career Orientation Visits is organized by the Guidance and Counselling Services to complement the Guidance provisions in secondary schools. Visits are scheduled to the following places. (click on links below for the schedules of visits)
Such visits help the students better understand the world of work and other training opportunities available to them after compulsory schooling. The aim of these visits is that of making the transition from secondary to further education, training or work as smooth as possible.
