Today our school's website was officially launched during a short meeting for parents and students in the School Boardroom.  Present for the event were Mr. Norman Borg, EO ICT and Ms. Lorna Schembri, ICT support teacher (Primary Section).

Following a short introduction by Mr. G. Sammut , Head of Gudja Primary School, Mrs. R.A. Camilleri, the webmaster, presented a tour of the whole website, explaining the navigation of each webpage and various links.

Later, Mr. Borg commented on the importance of websites in schools in this day and age.  Unlike printed material which can become outdated within a short time, websites are constantly being updated, reflecting changes in the various aspects of a school's life.

To a question put by one of the parents present, concerning the earliest age when children should be introduced to computers, Mr. Borg replied that there is no fixed age, however he encouraged parents to introduce children to computers as early as practically possible.

Finally Mr. Borg encouraged the students present to forward samples of their work for inclusion in the Kids' Corner of the website.
Mr. Borg thanked Mrs.R.A.Camilleri for her dedication without which today's event would not have been possible.
