role and aspirations
The school council focuses on school matters as viewed from different people within the organization. The team has a common vision and common goals. The latter are tackled from a different perspective according to the role of the individual member in society.
The President of the school council is assigned to the school from the division. Usually, such a person does not have any connections with the Education department and this helps the school to get more exposure and benefits from the business world, industry and other non- teaching organizations.
The secretary of the school council is the head teacher who is also responsible of the financial administration of the school fund. The head teacher takes the role of a liaison with outside-school institutions while being aware of the school needs.
The school council is also composed of teaching-staff and parents representatives. The points of views of the Council members are also taken into consideration in a democratic scenario and many a time affects the decisions taken. Indirectly, the School council positively influences the school ethos and the perception of different stakeholders in education.
