• organises activities that help students get optimal benefit from out-of-school activities.

• promotes awareness on issues that give a more holistic approach to education.

• help in organizing activities that forsee better relations between teachers and Heads of school to create a better milieu.

• Dar il-Lunzjata as an curricular learning centre falls under the responsibility of the officer in charge YSO.  Basically this is a centre for environmental education and science.

Adult and Evening Courses

• Various courses are held after school hours to provide help to students who are in need of an extra push or to learn an extra subject after school hours.

• Students who are beyond the age of compulsory education can pursue courses for adults offered either during the day or after school hours.

Environmental Education programme

This is a specialized programme for the higher classes of the primary school, aimed at instilling attitudes which are in harmony with the environment. 

Children are taught the skills required to uphold basic principles which promote a better environment.  After attending these lessons children learn how to safeguard the environment by showing their commitment  and becoming more pro-actively involved in all matters related to our human and natural environment.

At the end of the programme schools present particular items with a message related to the environment.  This culminates in the festival held at Lunzjata, Gozo during the Environment Week which is referred to as Festambjent ghall-Iskejjel.
