The DTLC welcomes any resources
related to Design and Technology that teachers would wish to share over
the Internet. Please adhere to the following guidelines on the preferred
format and style about how such resources should be set:
-
scan greyscale pictures preferably at Grey scale (8 bit)- jpeg;
-
scan colour
pictures preferably at Palette or 256 color (8 bit)- jpeg;
-
crop pictures
to the size required prior being inserted in a document; and
-
do not resize
pictures in a document.
To attain
small size picture files you may use Microsoft Photo Editor.
The Photo Editor is supplied with Office XP and earlier versions and
can be found within Microsoft Office Tools. Although limited,
image files may also be manipulated with Microsoft Paint, but
pictures should be saved in jpeg format.
-
Use plain
English and explain any acronyms used first time in a
document;
-
use an
appropriate font that ease the readability of a document;
-
spell-check a
document; and
-
keep a
document to smallest size possible.
