Comenius School Projects, which are part of the European Union education programme SOCRATES, are named after the Czech theologian, philosopher and teacher Johann Amos Comenius (1592-1670). Comenius was not only one of the founding fathers of modern education, but also strove incessantly for human rights, peace between the nations, and the unity of mankind.

Comenius school projects

 

• promote transnational co-operation between schools.

• give students and teachers the opportunity to work together on a topic of mutual interest. This co-operation enables the participants to exchange experiences, explore different aspects of European cultural, social and economic diversity, increase their general knowledge and learn to understand and appreciate each others views.
