What is this Comenius 1 project about?

The stand point of this project is the cultural heritage and intercultural education in the spirit of European values.

During the first year the children will discover Europe as tourists. In the second year they will discover Europe through childrens' literature, through Myths, Folktales and Fairy Tales. The third year will be dedicated to famous people in Europe (writers, musicians, scientists).

This project seeks to encourage the exchange of ideas, knowledge and customs with the interaction of pupils over creative activities such as writing, painting, photography, film-making, poetry, music and dramas.

The pupils and teachers will learn to work with the new technologies and will understand that ICT is a very efficient and effective means of sharing ideas and opinions, acquiring knowledge and breaking down barriers.

The pupils and teachers will have the chance to enrich their knowledge of English as well as other languages they used for communication: Italian, Romanian and French.

We hope that pupils will maintain a correspondence relationship even after the end of the project, whose ultimate aim is to help create and maintain close ties between young Europeans.
